Election Prediction

This was for a final project in a non-cs elective class. I used R, Twitter API, and Google Trends to see if we can use them to predict Seoul mayor election results in South Korea. I analyzed Twitter (# of tweet, followers, RT, etc.) and Google Trends (# of search queries) to see if any of these variables have correlations with Seoul mayor election results (votes). The analysis was conducted before and after the election date to identify what (unbiased) assumptions (in theory) were held prior to the election and what the results suggested.
